    Fun with Vegetables

    Session I  Veggie Art Making I: Children will use various vegetables to make prints.

    Session II  Veggie Art Making II: Children will use various vegetables to create a jungle.

    Session III  Salad Making:Children will participate in the entire process of making a vegetable salad.

    Session IV  Pumpkin Exploration:Children will get to know about pumpkins inside out!

     

    Fun with Leaves and Twigs

    Session I  Fall Leaves Sensory Bin: Children will explore the colorful fall leaves in a sensory bin.

    Session II  Leaf Art: Children will make paintings with fall leaves.

    Session III  Sticks (Not a Stick!): Children will transform sticks into many new things.

    Session IV  Blown Paint Trees: Children will use dried fall leaves to create a blown paint trees.

     

    Fun with Ice and Snow

    Session I  Snow Sensory Bin: Children will explore snow-like objects in a sensory bin.

    Session II  Melting Snowman: Children will make a snowman with baking soda.

    Session III  Snow Painting: Children will make a shivery snow painting.

    Session IV  Polar Animals: Children will explore and create the natural habitats of polar animals. 

  • 2015 Summer Semester

    Fun in a Small World

    Spark children’s love and imagination towards nature. While exploring, children will develop vocabulary about the animals and habitats of each unique small world. We may get messy this session. Parents and caregivers, be sure to bring your aprons or covers! Aprons will be provided for all children in class.

    Week 1 (7/21) Small Farm: Children will care for farm animals on a small farm.

    Week 2 (7/28) Small Zoo Children will encounter animals in a small zoo.

    Week 3 (8/6) Small Ocean: Children will discover ocean animals in a small ocean.

    Week 4 (8/11) Small Garden: Children will search for insects in a small garden.

     

  • 2015 Spring Semester

    Fun With Beans

    Beans are not only great to eat, but also great for playing. Children will learn Mandarin Chinese while developing fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination and attention to detail through our carefully designed sensory play experiences with dry beans.

    Week 1  Treasure Hunt: Children will search for treasures in a bean sensory bin.

    Week 2  Bean Transferring: Children will use their hands or tools to transfer beans from one container to another.

    Week 3  Bean Pouring: Children will pour beans from one container into another.

    Week 4  Rainbow Beans: Children will make colorful sensory jars with beans.

  • Fun With Dough

    Let’s get dirty with the dough! Children will learn Mandarin Chinese while exploring basic dough techniques, making funky dough and building dough structures! We will get pretty messy this week. Parents and caregivers, be sure to bring your aprons or covers. Aprons will be provided for all the children in class.

    Week 1  Dough Basics: Children will practice basic hand techniques on dough.

    Week 2  Dough Making: Children will make funky dough.

    Week 3  Dough Structure (1): Children will build structures with dough.

    Week 4  Dough Structure (2): Children will create structures on clay dough with natural materials.

     

  • Fun With Glue

    Who doesn’t have a fascination with sticky glue? Children will learn Mandarin Chinese while experimenting with glue by making glue paintings, slime, and pretty art works to bring home!

    Week 1  Glue 101: Children will practice working with glue.

    Week 2  Glue Painting: Children will make paintings with colorful glues and beans.

    Week 3  Gooey Gak: Children will explore slime and gak making with glue.

    Week 4  Glue Arts: Children will make calming bottles and glue gems.

     

  • Fun With Color

    Children love color! Children will learn Mandarin Chinese while making colorful finger paintings, mixing colors, and making rainbow color bottles. We will get pretty messy this week. Parents and caregivers, be sure to bring your aprons or covers! Aprons will be provided for all the children in class.

    Week 1  Finger Painting: Children will make finger paintings with self-made paints.

    Week 2  Color Mixing (1):  Children will create colorful spin-art rocks and fireworks in a jar.

    Week 3  Color Mixing (2): Children will mix two primary colors in solid and liquid forms.

    Week 4  Color Artwork: Children will experience the magic of science and create colorful artwork.
